The Outsider

The Outsider opent een nieuw hoofdstuk in Chaudfontaine /

A place with a story

This is a place where time seems to stand still. You can feel the history in every corridor; it is a place where generations have passed and the walls truly have a lot to tell. For us, a new chapter begins here today, as The Outsider officially moves into this impressive fort dating from 1888.

Adventure in a new way

We never do things by halves, and Chaudfontaine is no exception. This will be our newest playground, where adventure takes on a whole new dimension. The idea is simple: put on your helmet, grab your flashlight, and step into a world full of mystery and discovery.

Behind the scenes, we are currently busy with all the preparations. We are planning a mix of physical challenges and strategic games that require real teamwork. In other words, the familiar Outsider cocktail! What exactly are we going to do? In addition to regular activities such as laser shooting and off-road scooter tours, we are currently developing game concepts in and around the fort, and you will also be challenged at height… One thing is certain: it will be worth it.

Adventure in every season

The big advantage of this location is that you can enjoy both outdoor and indoor activities. At our other locations, we mainly stay outdoors, but here we also explore the deep corridors of the Fort. This means we can welcome you all year round.

Ready for your group

The Fort is open to everyone: companies, schools, youth groups, or just your own group of friends. Children can also celebrate their birthday parties here, filled with adventure. The focus remains the same: having fun together and strengthening group dynamics.

Everything has been arranged practically as well. The site has a large parking lot, the necessary sanitary facilities, and pleasant places to picnic. We ensure that everything is ready so that you only have to think about having fun.

“Safety and quality are always our top priorities,” emphasizes manager Hendrik Vandermarliere. “We are renovating and modernizing the entire facility. There is still a lot of work to be done, but we are really looking forward to it.”

Surprisingly close

Chaudfontaine is located near Liège, on the edge of the Ardennes. Here, you are surrounded by nature, but without having to travel for hours to get there.

  • It takes 15 minutes to get there from Liège.
  • You can get to Limburg surprisingly quickly: Hasselt is about 45 minutes away.
  • Genk in just under 50 minutes.
  • Brussels is about an hour’s drive away.
  • You can also reach Antwerp in about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

This is also a major advantage for the Netherlands. From Maastricht, you can reach the fort in about 35 minutes.

Also accessible by public transport

You can also get here easily without a car. You can take the train to Chaudfontaine station, which is on the railway line between Liège and Verviers. There are regular direct connections from Liège-Guillemins.

It is approximately 2.5 kilometers from the station to the fort. If you do not wish to walk that distance, you can take TEC bus lines 17, 28, or 31 towards Chaudfontaine or Vaux-Sous-Chevremont. Several stops are within walking distance of the fort, after which you can cover the last bit on foot.

See you soon in May! The adventure never stops, and in Chaudfontaine it’s about to begin…

We look forward to welcoming you soon to the Fort of Chaudfontaine, Rue du XIII Août, 4050 Chaudfontaine, to discover this brand new experience.
